City Kid Heads North West for the Mad Hatters Tea Party / Wedding - Northern Territory !!

Last Thursday I flew to Nhulunbuy which is in the top end of the northern Territory for the wedding of Lyndsay & Dan. Lyndsay, like so many "brides to be" had found me via the internet and called to ask if I'd travel to Gove/Nhulunbuy for a wedding. Well my first response was "where??"..
So after Lyndsay filled me in on the details and told me that it would be a themed wedding how could I refuse !? Well was I in for a treat ! So it was off to Cairns and then onto Gove where Lyndsay & Daniel greeted me at the airport (actually they were 5 minutes late but I forgave them). They made up for it by shouting me a beer .. :O)

In the last 9 years photographing weddings I've not seen a dress as cool and funky as Lyndsay's - wow !

All the girls looked amazing in their dresses ! And Aimee was the perfect flower girl ..

Daniel & the boys looked the part and the ceremony went beautifully to plan ..

Dad was proud as punch to see his little girl get hitched and I can tell you there was the odd tear . These are those moment I just love to capture - you just can't explain the emotion, but I think this image shows it fairly well .

After the ceremony we headed off to a place the locals call "The Lagoon", here you'll find half a dozen Crocodiles and about a gazillion ants ! (big ones). But being the brave photographer I took it in my stride (always with one eye on the lagoon) and we had a great time !

When We'd finished with our location shoot it was time to head back to the Walkabout Lodge where Jarrod the Page Boy was playing a little Croquet - what else would you do at a mad hatters tea party !?

All in all it was great weekend and I have to thank Lyndsay & Daniel for showing me around their part of the world, it truly was a great experience ! guy's have an awesome time in Tassie and Congratulations on pulling off a truly stunning Wedding ! NT Style ..
