Portraits with Kim

I had the pleasure of shooting some album cover images for Kimberley Bowden, a singer/songwriter who hales from Tully, in Far North Queensland. Kimberley moved to Brisbane in late February to pursue her musical ambitions. She has been a performer on the country music circuit since the early age of nine and has grown as a young artist with major festival achievements as well as numerous guest spots and support acts under her belt. She was a Camerata graduate in 2004. She is one of the youngest artists to take out the Gold Queensland Music Award at Charter’s Towers in 2005. In early 2006, she got the opportunity to perform as part of the Cyclone Larry benefit concerts in Innisfail and Cairns with a lineup of performers including Lee Kernaghan, Graeme Connors, Sara Stora, John Williamson and many more. Kimberley’s success continued when she was runner-up at the Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year at Norfolk Island in 2006. With her clear, powerful vocals she is a versatile performer that you are unlikely to forget.



When Kim came to look at her images she bought her Guitar with her and sang a song for my 7yr old who also loves to sing - KIm was awesome & McKenzie was most impressed ! Thanks Kim, you rock !

Natalie & Gary - October 25th

Natalie & Gary had a beautiful ceremony at the Coolibah Downs Chapel at Nerang.
We headed back to Coolangatta for our location photos and then it was off to Club Banora at Banora Point for the reception -

It was Kilts all round for the boys !

The Page boys Ethan & Matthew were in awe of the Bagpipes player ..

Amanda (below) and Dan, I shot their wedding back in 2004 ! Great to see you guys too !

Computer Upgrade

Just a few images blogged this week as I'm about to change my Mother Board & CPU -

The current one has become unstable (It's worked pretty hard for two years) and so it's time for it to go to computer heaven .. But every cloud has a silver lining & once the install is complete it'll be faster than ever ! With a new MB & a Quad Core CPU & loads of RAM we'll be flying in no time !

Melina & Casey - SUPRISE !!

Saturday - October 18th

Melina & Casey had their engagement party at North lakes and when all their friends & family were gathered they dropped the bombshell that it was actually a wedding !!

So off we walked down to the Lake where everything was set up for the big event !

Afterwards we drove to a private property out at Daybora for location photos.

Steph & Peter - Sunday 5th October

Sunday morning - that can only mean one thing !
Yep another wedding today ! and what a beautiful day it was too...
Grant & I headed out to the Stamford Plaza to meet up with Steph and the girls - emotions were at a high and all the girls were in great spirits ..!

I love this shot above - Dad looks on as his little girl applies the final touches ....


We met up with Peter and his groomsmen at Boys Grammer - after a slight hiccup with the flowers it was full steam ahead and the ceremony was beautiful.

Helen & Ben - Saturday 4th Oct 2008

We caught up with Helen and the girls over at Karana Downs where her folks live . Helen got dressed in the beautiful dress that her Mum had made and we headed into the property for a few candid photos ..
So we left the girls and headed over to the boys who were over at Ben's apartment at Bulimba -
After a little time spent tying the ties the boys were all ready to go !

The Ceremony was held under the Story Bridge in Captain Bourke Park - the weather was just perfect ! Helen and Ben mingled with guests before we made our way back across the bridge to the Medina where the reception was held .

Ahh, gotta love the cake people !!
