with pleasure. We stayed in a beautiful house at Orchid Beach
(up the Northern End of the island). Whilst I was there with the
family to enjoy a few days R&R I did have a job to do !
Well, sort of ....

(if you can call that work).
So I was able to duck off and shoot a few images for myself too ..

the coconut smiled on cue ..

Fraser Island truly is a beautiful part of Australia, oh and it's big !

En route to Japan, in cyclonic
conditions her tow rope broke
and she came to grief on the
eastern beach of Fraser Island.
That was back in 1935

The Champagne Pools are located
just North of Indian Head, along
75-mile beach. These pools provide
a very popular swimming hole with
the ocean crashing over the rocks
into shallow sandy pools. The foaming water is where the name
Champagne Pools comes from.
